Utah: Bryce Navajo Trail
I am just returned from a trip through Utah and New Mexico – ten days that felt like ten years for the rejuvenation and inspiration gained in the traveling. In particular, the country of Northern New Mexico felt like a wild home to my heart. I love the architecture of the hills, the mountains and the homes. I love the starry nights, the vistas of sunrise and sunset, the coyotes in the night. We stayed in a vintage trailer where we felt like a part of the very place. Here are just a few of the watercolor/gouache sketches captured along the way. From the red cliffs of Kayenta to the imposing majesty of Zion, Red Canyonlands and Bryce to the enchantment of northern New Mexico — however it all comes through in my art remains to be seen!
