“Making art is a process of wonderment driven by boundless expansion.”
Guillame Wolf

I painted for this February show from early December until 3 days before the opening event, making enough art to fill the Stonehenge gallery walls in a satisfying profusion. After all these years of art making, I still step back with a sense of wonderment at where these brush strokes come from, how the culminating paintings come to be. The work is of myself, but outside of myself too. Painting is not an intellectual pursuit. It is eye, hand, heart expression, supported by experience and craft.

I was thrilled to share this expansion with friends and patrons at the opening reception. I am glad people find joy in my art. You inspire me to keep wondering, to keep expanding and to keep expressing my heart through my brush.

Join me for more talk on the sources of expression and simply to enjoy hanging out in the gallery, at an informal talk I am hosting at the gallery on Sunday February 22, at 3pm.  Details on my What’s New page.
